In order to boost PDP (Plasma Display Panel) TV sales in North America, Korean LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Hitachi, and Pioneer have formed a Plasma Display Coalition in New Jersey, US. The coalition is aimed to provide more accurate information about PDP TVs, and correct people's misunderstanding toward PDP TV prices and functions. The five companies' US branches will pay an annual fee for joint promotional activities and for upgrading PDP TV functions.
