Acer to Increase DT PC Production for Indian Market

According to an announcement by Acer, the company will work together with Foxconn to increase its presence in the Indian desktop PC market, as Foxconn, which is Acer's contract manufacturer for desktop PCs, will build a new production facility in India for this purpose. However, details about production capacity at the new plant were not immediately available. Acer already occupies third place in the Indian notebook PC market, but so far it has not been very strong in the desktop PC segment, which accounts for the majority of PC sales in the country.
