Lenovo to Combine its Brand with That of IBM PC Unit

According to a recent announcement by Lenovo, the company will globally combine its own brand operations with those of the IBM PC unit, which it earlier acquired, starting October 15. Product groups, and supply and sales structures will be merged. This move is part of a larger reorganization within Lenovo, also involving some geographic adjustments in its sales and customer services operations and an effort to streamline its R&D activities.
