Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology to Ship HD DVD Drives for NB

Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology, a joint venture of Toshiba and Samsung, has rolled out HD DVD drives for notebook PCs with plans to start sample shipments in late 2005. In addition to reading HD DVDs, the drive can also read/write conventional DVDs and CDs. Toshiba is planning to roll out notebook PCs equipped with the new HD DVD drives in late 2005 or early 2006.
