Canon to Produce OLED, Projection-Type Displays

According to a report in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Canon plans to start producing OLED displays and projection-type displays in the coming two to three years. These products will be part of Canon's new five-year business plan which begins in 2006. The new plan also calls for an increase in the company's annual R&D budget to around 500 billion Yen from the current 300 billion Yen.
