Acer has named China's Digital China as their second distributor, instead of the Taiwanese player Synnex as was widely expected. However, Acer has noted that their partnership with Synnex would continue in the home appliance channel. Currently, Acer has rearranged its divisions in China from seven to four and has reduced their channel partners from 103 to 30. In the future, Acer intends to have their national distribution agents, Ingram Micro, and Digital China, take over the business of the 30 channel partners except one or two.
