International PDP Substrate JV to Be Set Up in Korea

According to the Electronic Times, Korean Hanglas, French Saint Goban and Japanese Central Glass have agreed to invest US$72 million in a joint venture to be set up in Gyeongsangbuk, Korea. Central Glass will take a 40% stake in the joint venture, called DGA (Display Glass Alliance), with Hanglas and Saint Goban both taking a 30% share. The venture will establish a PDP glass substrate production facility by March 2006.
