Motorola Opens UWB R&D Center in Taiwan
July 14, 2005
On July 8 Motorola opened an UWB (Ultra WideBand) R&D center in Taiwan, being the first such center in the Asia-Pacific region and the first outside of the United States. This center will be very helpful for Taiwanese network makers. In comparison with WLAN (Wireless Local Area Networks), UWB has lower power consumption, higher transmission speeds, higher safety levels, less signal interference, lower costs and so forth.
