Computing - KIPA Pushes Linux for Desktops

The Korean IT Industry Promotion Agency is implementing a plan to bring Linux adoption in desktop PC s from the current 0.3% to 5% in 2007. The plans to allocate 700 million KRW (US$698,248; US$1 = 1,002.5 KRW) for a pilot project at Knowledge Information Center in the Ministry of Information and Communication to develop Linux-based Internet banking.
