CRS and Apple Partner to Develop Solar Projects with Wan Ja Shan in Taiwan
August 23, 2019

The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) announced the cooperation with Apple to expand its Green-e® certification program to renewable energy projects in Singapore and Taiwan, and Apple has allied with Taiwan soy sauce company, Wan Ja Shan Brewery Co., Ltd., to co-develop the rooftop solar array, the United Daily News reported on August 22. This Green-e® certification is available for large buyers and clean energy sellers in Asia now, helping businesses verify the quality of their renewable energy sourcing by measuring environmental and local impacts, and providing requirements for public disclosure and tracking. Working with Apple, CRS has completed the pilot certification of Apple’s 32-megawatt 800-rooftop solar project in Singapore. Besides, CRS is also collaborating with Apple to verify its renewable energy project in Ping Tung County, Taiwan. Apple worked with Wan Ja Shan Brewery Co., Ltd., to co-develop this rooftop solar array and secured a long-term contract for Apple in order to own the project’s renewable energy certificates.
