Mitsubishi Chemical announced on August 21 that it will purchase all shares of the precision cleaning and coating supplier Cleanpart Group GmbH owned by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, a German investment fund. Closing of the transaction is expected in October 2018. Benefited by the market presence and networks in Europe and the United States of Cleanpart, this acquisition will help Mitsubishi Chemical improve materials, services, and semiconductor gases of machines that are primarily used in the production of logic chips, memory chips and comparable components. Shintyo Corporation, a subsidiary of MCC is also a precision cleaning and coating supplier in Japan and other Asian markets. Financial terms has not yet been disclosed.
