Delta has acquired the land at Central Taiwan Science Park, with an aim to expand capacity of its R&D centers and plants, the Economic Daily News reported on April 20. Delta is to invest NT$1 billion (USD 33.7 million, USD1= NT$29.7) in the capacity expansion plan and the construction will begin in the second half of 2018. Other than Delta, Hiwin Technologies and Yaskawa both also have plans for capacity expansion in Central Taiwan Science Park as intelligent automation and robotics continue to pick up steam. In addition, Delta also plans to purchase the land in Zhongyuan, Taoyuan City, and construct a plant there for NT$2.2. billion (USD74.1 million).
