Amazon recently entered a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with New Taipei City Government to jointly establish an innovation center in Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park, Taiwan, according to the United Daily News on January 11. Following Microsoft and IBM, Amazon will be the third international big name to set up an innovation center in Taiwan. Through the cooperation, Amazon will help Taiwan create a comprehensive innovation ecosystem so as to shift from traditional IT industries to digital ones by providing training and technical assistance, and its global resources for at least 15 local startups every year in the areas of cloud computing, big data, IoT (Internet of Things), and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
