ZTE, Qualcomm to Collaborate on CDMA2000 Femtocell Development
April 18, 2010
Chinese telecom equipment provider ZTE reached an
agreement with CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) solution supplier Qualcomm
on March 23 for CDMA2000 femtocell development, EE Times reported. As per the
agreement, ZTE will develop CDMA2000 femtocell products using Qualcomm's
Femtocell Station Modem chipset platform. Harnessing Qualcomm's SoC (System on
Chip) solutions combining baseband, RF (Radio Frequency), and power management
ICs, ZTE will be able to design femtocells featuring lower power consumption and
higher levels of integration.
