Golden Telecom, Nortel Team Up for Wireless Mesh Network in Moscow

Golden Telecom recently announced it will cooperate with Nortel to build a wireless mesh network in Moscow. The network will consist of 5,000 Nortel WiFi access points, and will provide indoor and outdoor wireless access to 3.9 million users in Moscow. Golden Telecom expects to launch this service in Moscow after tests of the network are completed in the second quarter 2006.
