Samsung, Intel to Debut Co-Developed Ultra Mobile PC at CeBIT

Korean Samsung and Intel will be unveiling an ultra mobile PC at CeBIT in March, using Intel's ultra-low-voltage Pentium M CPU, Sonoma platform, and Microsoft's Window XP Tablet PC Edition operating system. Although other details are not yet announced, it is expected that the ultra mobile PC will be equipped with wireless connectivity, including WLAN, GPS, WiBro, and HSDPA technologies. Meanwhile, LG Electronics is planning to join the ultra mobile PC market through cooperation with Korean TriGem Computer and Taiwanese Acer in late 2006.
