LG to Release Google TV in US in May 2012

LG Electronics said that the company plans to begin offering Google TVs in late May in the United States, according to a May 7, 2012 report by Reuters. LG's move is projected to expand its share in the Internet TV market. Production of Google TVs is slated to start on May 17, 2012 at LG's plant located in Mexico, and the products will hit the US market from the week of May 21. LG said it will review the sales performance of Google TVs in the US market and decide whether to introduce such products in Asia and Europe. Shipment targets, product prices, screen sizes, or other details were not disclosed.
