Far Eastone and Quanta jointly announced their partnership for cloud computing, according to a June 30, 2011 report by the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. It is reported that the two companies will cooperate on software and hardware integration, aiming to develop enterprise smart cloud. The enterprise smart cloud service is projected to help SMEs (Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises) save server costs and system maintenance fees. The first phase is projected to target at SMEs with less than 100 employees by offering virtual servers, memories, disk space, public and private IP (Internet Protocol), and backup services.
