Chunghwa Telecom, Skycloud Sign MOU for Cloud Computing Business in China

Taiwanese Chunghwa Telecom announced on December 16, 2010 that the company has signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Chinese Skycloud Technology for providing cloud computing services in China, according to the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. As per the MOU, Chunghwa Telecom is expected to provide its cloud computing solutions, while Skycloud will provide its distribution channels. It is projected that the two companies will build a cloud computing center in Beijing, which is slated for completion in January 2011. Chunghwa Telecom expects that business operation of its cloud computing services in China will start in March 2011.
