Taiwanese CMO (Chi Mei Optoelectronics) said in a statement that it plans to start production at its new 6G panel plant at the end of 2007. Though construction details have not been disclosed, CMO expects the new facility to start volume production of 32- and 37-inch panels in the fourth quarter of 2007. Meanwhile, CMO's 7.5G plant is currently under construction and is expected to begin volume production in the second quarter of 2007.
