Abstract

48% of the total respondents considered "not satisfied with current mobile phone" as the main drive force for purchasing a new mobile phone, with 16- to 25-year-old respondents accounting for 54%. 31% of the total respondents would choose mobile phones in the 1501 -2000 RMB price range as their first choice; this figure is higher than that of other price ranges. 29% of the total respondents considered mobile phones priced between 2501 -3000 RMB to be high-status models, while 40% considered 901 -1000 RMB the price range for low-status models.
