Abstract

The report finds that the shipment volume of the global motherboard industry grew sequentially but decline year-on-year in the third quarter of 2018, reaching 26.9 million units. The growth is mainly attributed to the new rollouts of processors and graphic cards, as well as the advanced shipments to the United States before 25% tariffs are imposed on desktop PCs, motherboards, server and graphic cards in January 2019. The industry's shipment volume is estimated to decline sequentially but grow year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2018 to 26.2 million units.
