Abstract

The report finds the pull-in demand of Taiwan's servers shipped on board level enjoyed 16.7% sequential growth while those on full system and barebone levels suffered from 12.2% sequential decline in the third quarter of 2016. Some cloud computing service providers were more conservative in the first half of 2016, deferring purchase demand to the second half. Consequently, the total shipment volume of full system and barebone servers is anticipated to have reached about 3.77 million units in 2016, while server boards topped about 4.55 million units.
