Abstract

The report finds the pull-in demand of Taiwan's server industry in the first quarter of 2016 was deferred to the second quarter. Servers shipped on the full system and barebones levels totaled 1.05 million units in the second quarter of 2016 while those on board level hit 1.24 million units. Driven by the increase in shipment volume, the industry's shipment value arrived at USD2.46 billion in the second quarter, up 6.35% year-on-year. Shipment volume of the server industry on the system/barebones level and on the board level is expected to witness YoY growth of 8.1% and 1.2%, respectively.
