The report finds that the Taiwanese tablet industry's shipment value reached U$3.94 billion in the second quarter of 2016, dropping 9.7% sequentially, due to the sluggish global demand and the lack of new products from major vendors. In the third quarter, as the industry entered a traditional high season with major vendors showing stronger pull-in demand, the industry's shipment volume and value are both expected to increase. Overall, the industry's shipment value are estimated to have totaled US$3.98 billion, up 1.1% sequentially.
