Abstract

The report finds that shipment volume of the Taiwanese server industry grew 8.3% sequentially and 11.3% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2015, bolstered mainly by the needs in the enterprise market. Among all kinds of server products, server motherboards' share of shipment volume in the server industry dropped below 50% in the fourth quarter. As the share of server systems, comprising of full system and barebones, accounted for over 50%, shipment value of the industry grew 16.6% sequentially to US$2.76 billion in the fourth quarter of 2015. Taiwan's server industry is anticipated to have grown over 8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2016.
