Also included are forecast and recent years' review of worldwide shipment volume and share by region and by CPU connector type, as well as motherboard vs. desktop PC shipment volume ratio on the global basis. This research finds that worldwide commercial replacement demand helped to soften motherboard market decline in 2014, with a total of approximately 146 million motherboards shipped in 2014, up 2.2% compared to 2013. As the replacement demand triggered by Windows 7 has just come to an end and low-cost notebook PCs are continuing to eat away market share of desktop PCs, worldwide motherboard shipment volume is forecast to reach around 134 million units in 2015, down 8.1% compared to 2014.
