The report finds that the Taiwanese smartphone industry is to see the first shipment decline in 2016, due largely in part to the declining global shipments and the first possible shipment decline of Apple in the same year. With China being listed in the first batch of countries to sell new iPhones, Taiwanese mobile phone companies concentrated shipments at the end of 2015 instead. For this reason, Taiwanese smartphone shipment volume will likely to suffer over 30% sequential decline in the first quarter of 2016, reaching approximately 75.4 million units.
