Abstract

This report presents worldwide IPTV subscriber market forecast and recent quarter review of regional IPTV subscriber numbers by region, by country, and by major operator with research coverage including East Asia and Oceania (Australia/Japan/Korea/Taiwan), other Asian countries (China/Hong Kong/India/Malaysia/Singapore/Vietnam), North America, Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This report finds that global IPTV subscriber numbers totaled around 118.7 million in the second quarter of 2015, up 3.6% year-on-year. In the second quarter of 2015, the top 10 countries accounted for 83.4% of global total IPTV subscribes, with China, France, and the Untied States being the best performers. Looking closely at individual operators' performance, China Telecom continued to have the largest IPTV subscriber base of over 35.9 million in the second quarter, followed by Orange (France Telecom), AT&T and Verizon. Global IPTV subscriber numbers are anticipated to have grown 3.2% sequentially and 14% year-on-year to around 122.5 million.
