April 12, 2024

Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) will host the MIC Forum at Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei (Taiwan) from April 16-18. For further information, please visit the Event website (available in Mandarin only).

In a recent desktop PC five-year forecast report unveiled by the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC), projections indicate that the global desktop industry is poised for a resurgence in 2024, with anticipated shipments expected to reach 69.767 million units, marking a substantial growth of 2.7% compared to figures from 2023.

The report highlights prevailing market conditions, revealing a mixed landscape. While the U.S. market demonstrates signs of recovery, it grapples with persistent inflationary pressures. In contrast, China and Europe continue to navigate broader economic challenges.

However, despite these headwinds, MIC forecasts a buoyant trajectory for the desktop PC market. This optimism is underpinned by the advent of AI PCs in the early part of the year and the imminent release of cutting-edge processors by leading chipmakers in the latter half.
