Shipment volume of the global server industry is forecast to reach 12 million units in 2023, up 9% year-on-year, according to MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute), a division of III (Institute for Information Industry), a major government think tank, and one of leading IT research institutes in Taiwan. Affected by the overall economic downturn, reduced sales have forced PC brands to cut orders and have caused a decline in PC shipments. On the contrary, the global server industry continues to see an increase in orders and shipments due to cloud service providers' expansion plans for datacenters in 2023 and beyond.
