Communications IC and Antenna Suppliers Likely to be Major Beneficiaries from the Rise of 5G Smartphones: MIC
October 12, 2018

Global 5G smartphone shipment volume is estimated at 4.2 million units by 2019 and will not take off until 2021, according to the Taipei-based, government-backed IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute). "This is attributed mainly to the fact that major countries around the world have set the year 2020 as their starting year of 5G commercialization," says Eddie Han, senior industry analyst with MIC.
