Qualcomm's Investment Focuses on Machine Learning Solutions for Car Electronics, Healthcare, Medical Technology, and Robot Applications: MIC

The distribution of Qualcomm’s 145 AI-related patents in the 35 fields was analyzed by Taipei-based and government-backed IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute)to find out the company's core AI technologies. "Qualcomm Ventures invested in 140 startups between 2013 and 2017. All of these 40 investment projects were related to machine learning with a focus on driverless cars, robots, AR, mobile devices, and neuromorphic computing hardware, "says David Chen, senior industry analyst with MIC.
