Facial Recognition is Most Commonly Used in Public Transport and Infrastructure for ID Authentication Purpose: MIC

For applications in the transport industry, facial recognition has been widely adopted in immigration inspection systems around the world, according to Taipei-based and government-backed IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute). "The transport industry consists of several sectors including air/sea/land freight, logistics, warehouse services, manufacturing of transport equipment and related electronic components, and transport management systems," says Chung-yu Yang, industry analyst at MIC.
