Taiwanese LTE CPE Shipment Volume to Grow 18% in 2H 2017: MIC

Shipment volume of the Taiwanese LTE (Long Term Evolution) CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) industry - comprising of outdoor CPE, indoor CPE, USB (Universal Serial Bus) dongles, and Wi-Fi (Wireless-Fidelity) routers - is estimated to top 5.6 million units in 2017, according to Taipei-based IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute).

"Based on our findings, 70% of Taiwanese LTE CPE shipments in the first half were mainly from outdoor and indoor CPE," says Emily Tsai, senior industry analyst with MIC. "In the second half of 2017, the shipment volume is estimated to reach about 3.04 million units, up 18% compared to the first half."
