Midea's Electric Fans Garner Close to 1.4 Million Mentions on Sina Weibo: MIC
December 09, 2015

Electric fans are an indispensable household item, especially in the hot summer months of China. A recent study done by MIC (Market intelligence & Consulting Institute), an ICT research institute based in Taiwan, found that of all the electric fan brands in China, Midea is the most popular in terms of online visibility on social media platforms.

"Midea received close to 1.4 million mentions on Sina Weibo, China’s most influential social network platform, from 15 May to 15 August 2015. This number clearly outranks all the other brands by a large margin," says MIC research team. "Most buyers during this period are young adults aged between 25 and 29. They gave extremely positive reviews about the company's after sales services, which put the brand in the category of 'mainstay products with high reviews'."
