Acer's CEO Jason Chen said that the company will no longer seek hardware sales and market share as its first priority but will go after a new operation strategy focusing on BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud), reported Economic Daily on January 14. The strategy, slated to be launched on April 1, is based on Acer's existing strengths, such as a vast amount of data centers, superiority in data security and reliability technologies, and considerable implementation experience. In the future, Acer will bundle cloud services into all of its products, including PCs and mobile devices, expecting to give consumers a seamless user experience.
