Asus said that it will cooperate with Google to tap the lucrative educational tablet market in the United States, setting a goal of 20% year-on-year growth in both transformable notebook PC and tablet sales in 2014, according to Commercial Times on January 9. Currently, the US educational tablet market is mainly divided up by Apple, Google, and Microsoft. Asus' transformable products feature plug-and-play keyboards, which are easier for school kids to use than Bluetooth ones. In 2013, Asus' notebook PC sales in the United States grew 5% while its tablet sales surged 35% to take up around 10% of the overall US market, assuming the third place in the market share ranking.
