NEC Lenovo Japan Group to Kick off PC Production in Fall 2012

NEC Lenovo Japan Group, a joint venture between Japan's NEC and China's Lenovo, said on July 4, 2012 that the company will launch production of ThinkPad PC parts at NEC's plant located in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan starting this fall, according to a report by the Japan Times. The company plans to further expand its production in Japan in the future. It is reported that the company aims to ensure fast delivery and convenience for the Japanese customers and seeks to achieve 30% market share in the country in three years.
