Google and Asus have been working on tablets since the beginning of 2012 and recently it is reported that their co-branded tablet featuring a 7-inch screen display is likely to be launched in mid-2012, with an aim to compete with Amazon's Kindle Fire, Taiwan's China Times reported on May 25. According to the source, the initial shipment volume of this new Google-Asus tablet will hit around 2.5 million units in 2012. Further details with respect to the new product, however, were not yet disclosed.
