Nokia announced on March 28, 2012 at a press event held in Beijing that the company is going to sell its high-end Lumia 800C in the Chinese Smartphone market, according to the Wall Street Journal. Running on Microsoft's Windows Phone OS, Nokia's Lumia 800C will be priced at 3599 RMB (US$571; US$1=6.3 RMB) and sold through China Telecom in April. It is reported that Nokia will release the entry-level Lumia 610C Smartphone in the Chinese market in the second quarter of 2012, targeting at young consumers. Nokia said the company is also working with China Mobile, China Union, and local Internet companies to develop mobile phones and mobile products catering to the Chinese market.
