- WiMAX carrier P1 (Packet One Networks) said that the company plans to deploy 1,600 base stations throughout Malaysia, covering nearly 55% of the country's total population, by the end of 2011, according to a May 25, 2011 report by the Business Times of Malaysia. It is reported that by the end of March 2011, the company has already installed and switched on 1,009 sites.
