LG to Boost Global TV Market Share in 2011

LG said that the company aims to increase its global TV market share to more than 16% and sell 40 million flat screen TVs in 2011 by introducing new 3D and connected TV models, according to a February 16, 2011 report by Bloomberg. LG's share in global TV market arrived at approximately 12% in 2010, according to the same source. LG released its new FPR (Film Patterned Retarder) 3D TV in Korea on February 16, 2011, aiming to win market share and catch up with Samsung. It is reported that LG also plans to boost its market share of connected TV to 20% worldwide.
