HTC is said to outsource the production of its new tablet PC to Pegatron, according to a February 9, 2011 report by the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. It is reported that HTC CEO expressed that the company is considering outsourcing the production of several products, aiming to enhance company flexibility of production schedule. Currently, HTC manufactures all of its products in house. The upcoming HTC tablet device is scheduled to be released at the end of the first quarter this year. It is expected that the new tablet device will be equipped with a seven-inch touch screen and running on Android 2.3 operating system.
