Toshiba said that the company plans to release a 3D TV model with screen size of over 40-inches worldwide in fiscal year 2011 starting in April, according to a December 22, 2010 report by the Wall Street Journal. It is reported that the new 3D TV model will allow viewers to watch TV with or without special glasses. More details of Toshiba's new 3D TV is projected to be announced at the annual Consumer Electronics Show to be held in Las Vegas in January 2011.

Toshiba's 12-inch glass-less 3D TV is scheduled to hit the Japanese market on December 22, 2010, and a 20-inch model will be released on December 25, 2010.
