Chimei Innolux announced on December 16, 2010 that the company's board of directors has approved the establishment of a touch panel manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, China, according to the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. Dubbed InnoTouch Optical, it is reported that the US$20 million plant will be used for touch panel and key component production and binding processing. Meanwhile, Chimei Innolux also announced that the company will increase its investment by US$3.28 million in flat panel module manufacturer Dong Guan Chi Hsin Electronics in China, aiming to boost its LCM (Liquid Crystal Display Module) production capacity, according to the same source.
