- Taiwanese Global Mobile announced on December 1, 2010 that the company has signed an agreement with US Spring for WiMAX international roaming service, according to the China Times of Taiwan. Global Mobile also said that it plans to launch WiMAX voice communication service in Taiwan at the end of 2010 or in early 2011.
- Taiwanese Vee Telecom said on December 2, 2010 that the company and other four WiMAX carriers, including Tatung InfoComm, PHS, Global Mobile, and VMAX, will jointly purchase base station equipment in 2011, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. It is reported that the five carriers will together spend more than NT$2.5 billion (US$82.5 million; US$1=30.3 NT$) on purchasing at least 2,000 base stations.
