China Mobile Launches Free WLAN Services in Guangdong

China Mobile has begun delivering free WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) services for phone users in Guangdong Province during the 16th Asian Games held from November 1 to December 31, 2010, the Sohu IT News reported. Aside from China Mobile users, users subscribed to other mobile services provided by China Telecom and China Unicom are also granted to access free WLAN services through phone registration. Users are only required to select China Mobile network, type a specific code given by China Mobile, and press the call button to obtain a free WLAN password. To date, China Mobile has over 10,000 WLAN hotspots in Guangdong Province, with the network coverage including many public sites such as airports, hotels, convention centers, and coffee shops.
