NTT DoCoMo announced on November 1, 2010 that the company's technology for digital
photo frame service Otayori Photo Service is adopted by Korean KT, and KT has introduced
a similar photo service in Korea on October 29, 2010, according to a press
release by NTT DoCoMo. A joint-procurement project is said to be formed by the
two companies. Pursuant to the project, NTT DoCoMo and KT will purchase digital
photo frames modified for the Japanese and Korean markets, respectively, from
the same supplier.
Via
the service, users are expected to send photos in mobile phones or PCs to a
server, then, the server will transmit the photos to recipients' digital photo
frames.
