China Mobile Grants Orders to Fujitsu

Fujitsu
announced on October 15, 2010 that the company has signed a server and storage system
deal, worth up to US$50 million, with China Mobile, according to a press
release by Fujitsu. As per the deal, China Mobile is expected to purchase more
than 500 units of Fujitsu SPARC Enterprise UNIX servers and ETERNUS disk
storage systems. It is reported that China Mobile will use the new servers and
storage systems to build reliable ICT infrastructure to handle large amount of
data. Currently, China Mobile, a Chinese major telecom operator, has a
subscriber base of 550 million, according to the press release again.
